An initiative of enterprising IRMANs There was a burning desire to do something for Bihar which was not possible while working outside the state. The plan was to create a platform on which professionals could aggregate and collaborate to work for the development of our state. After detailed brainstorming decision was taken to establish an organization aptly named BIHAR DEVELOPMENT TRUST with a belieft that NGOs should earn profit in order to become self-sustainable.BDT would work on various issues of development in Bihar which would help people at the bottom of the pyramid move upwards. BDT was registered as a trust on March 26, 2007. The organization is supposed to act as an honest platform for receiving support from Biharis and people who strongly feel about the development of Bihar. The idea is to implement the successful economic models like GRAMEEN MODEL, AMUL in context of Bihar to bring wealth to common people. Identifying with the vision & mission of the organization, founders were later joined by more Bihari professionals in the quest to achieve the same.
