Dr. Ravi Chandra

Dr Ravi Chandra has a unique combination of management with medical education. He is a dental surgeon from Manipal Academy of Higher Education with Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) which has one of best management education processes in India. He co-founded Bihar Development Trust with Mr. Dev Kumar Dubey on March 26, 2007. Dr. Ravi Chandra possesses the skills of networking, planning, training, communication, networking, persuasion, data management, documentation, event management and public speaking.

Mr. Dev Kumar Dubey of Bihar Development Trust since inception also did his Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). He co-founded Bihar Development Trust with Dr Ravi Chandra. He has an eye for details, micro planning, local expertise and networking in Bhagalpur.

Mr Diwakar Vats,Director of Bihar Development Trust since July 2008, has done his M.B.A. from International Management Institute, New Delhi(IMI) in 2005-2007 batch. He is responsible for networking and expanding operation in Patna District. He has very good communication, management, listening and analytical skill.

Mr. Vikash Kumar Pathak,Director of Bihar Development Trust. He did his MBA from School of Petroleum Management,Gandhinagar & was working in an oil & gas exploration company before joining. He is responsible for execution of livelihood programmes & system development of BDT.

Mr . Ashish Gupta

is currently chief operating officer of SONATA MICROFINANCE. He handle a portfolio of Rs300 million. He is an IRMA alumnus and has an decade of microfinance experience. He has worked with BASIX at various levels before turning entrepreneur with founding of its own microfinance organization JEEVIKA at Jabalpur MP. He is one of first one to lead consolidation of microfinance sector by merging its microfinance operation with SONATA. He has handled the transformation of SONATA into a non banking financial company.

Mr.Shyam Bihari Prasad(Resigned) is small business man along with social worker in Village Mahavar, Dist. Aurangabad, Bihar. He has more than three decades of experience of working in rural atmosphere. He offers wonderful insights regarding the behaviour of rural people of Bihar.

Mr. Prashant Mishra(Resigned) is currently the Branch Manager of Bank of India, Bhagalpur, Bihar. He has a decade of banking experience in Bihar. He is a native of Bhagalpur, Bihar. He has done his graduation from TNB College, Bhagalpur, Bihar.

Mr. Manoj Singh(Resigned) has a decade of experience in teaching before joining IRMA for 2003-2005. He worked with IFAD supported Livelihood project at Dehradun, Uttarakhand in 2005. He has worked in PRATHAM as State Coordinator, Child Labour, Patna, Bihar during 2006-2007. He has two years of microfinance experience with NIRMAN BHARTI & SPANDANA. Currently, He is as ZONAL MANAGER BASED at Jaipur for SPANDANA. He handles a portfolio of Rs.2000 million and around 100 branches spread across Jaipur zone of Rajasthan, Gujarat and M.P.

Executive Committee- Executive committee is empowered to run day-to-day-affairs,handle management & make all the decisions in the interest of BDT on behalf of all the trustees. It is the apex body of BDT. Executive committee has following members-

Microfinance Advisory Board

Ms. Ragini Bajaj Chowdhary is an IRMA alumnus with more than a decade experience in capacity building in micro finance sector. She is working as Director,Training with EDA Rural Systems Pvt. Ltd. Gurgaon. She advices us related to capacity building issues of Bihar Development Trust.

Mr. Vaibhav Bhamoria is an Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad as well as an IRMA alumnus. He has worked with International Water Management Institute,Anand and travelled a lot in Gujarat and Rajsthan while working on water issues with local community. Currently, He is doing his FPM from IIM, Ahemedabad in Human Resource and Organisation Behaviour related area. He advices us regarding organization development related issues of Bihar Development Trust.

Mr. Atul Kumar is an IRMA alumnus. He is working with HSBC as Vice President, Corporate Banking, Mumbai. He was heading the microfinance initiative of HSBC bank in Mumbai. He has funded many Microfinance Institutions during his tenure and has deep understanding and knowledge of microfinance sector. He advices us related to quality, risk and product development related aspect of Bihar Development Trust.

He is responsible for handling the all strategic & operation related issue of Bihar Development Trust. He is responsible for Livelihood, Microfinance and other programme implementation . He is responsible for Bhagalpur zone operation of Bihar Development Trust.

Mr. Diwakar Vats

He is responsible for handling the all operation related issue of Bihar Development Trust. He is responsible for business development, operational growth, risk management, maintaining quality of portfolio,of Bihar Development Trust. He is based at Patna.

Chief Finance Officer, MBA from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA)
He is responsible for networking, fund raising, MIS, documentation, donor & lender communication, product development, reporting, developing manuals etc. for Bihar Development Trust. He also looks after audit, legal & compliance related issues of Bihar Development Trust.

Mr. Vikash Kumar Pathak
Director ( Planning,Systems,HR & Livelihood programmes), MBA from School of Petroleum Management, Gandhi Nagar
He is responsible for developing systems & processes, human resource management, budget planning and execution of livelihood programmes of Bihar Development Trust. He is based at Bhagalpur.

He sets the credit limit for each individual and group based on income expenditure analysis. He is responsible for risk management at branch level along with branch manager.
